A Vision Board Party

I have been in LA for five days now and have been having an amazing time. Prior to coming here, I knew that this would be the trip that would allow me to start the prep work for sorting out my life and making a clear roadmap for how to move forward in the coming weeks, months and year. To my delight, the friends that I am staying with and their friends were completely on board with setting our goals for the year and vision for our lives. So came about the idea of a vision board party. Lots of magazines, markers, scissors, glue sticks, wine, food and great people.

A friend of a friend hosted the party at his home and ten of us sat down, cut out images and words that inspired us and discussed life, love and the future. Present were writers, a photographer, actors, singers and other creatives. The room was laced in inspiration and dreams. No one was held back by fear and everyone dreamed big.

I was the odd ball out as I am not a creative by profession and I still have not truly found my passion, but the love in the room helped me to finish my board and be clear about what my ideal life looks like. Though I am not crystal clear how I will get there, I know what there looks like.

This is my first time doing a vision board, but I strongly encourage you to do your own. I also think it is best if you sit down with positive like-minded people as they can help to inspire you and you them. Below is my completed board.
